My suspicions were wrong ! The CETTI'S WARBLER is still present this am , but has moved quite a distance from its original spot. Male Reed Bunting was the only movement by the bridge

Finished the Heron Census and the full totals below, really please with at least 7 Nests, at least 8 Adults round the site as well

Wooden Island ( so called by the strange wooden structures placed on it ! )

3 Nests

Wooden Island Nest 1) - 2 Well Grown youngsters
Wooden Island Nest 2) - 2 Well Grown youngsters
Wooden Island Nest 1) - 1 Well Grown youngster

Total young = 5

Island 2 ( so called as it has no distinguishing features amd there are 2 islands ! )

4 Nests

Island 2 Nest 1 ) - 4 Well Grown youngsters
Island 2 Nest 2) - 3 Nearly Fledged Youngsters
Island 2 Nest 3) - 2 Nearly Fledged Youngsters
Island 2 Nest 4) - 1 Well Grown youngster

Total young = 10

12 Great Crested Grebes (2 sitting on nests)

2 Chiffchaffs just outside recording area on the Bowl side , also 1 Blackcap. 1 1st Summer Black Headed Gull and 1 Herring Gull

I will be putting up some blasts from the past soon , as well as some old pictures and a full Furzton list , I am also working on a full database of sightings as well as an article for the Bird report
